Isaiah 49:1-26

Before creation, before Jesus was ever sent to this earth, God chose him to bring the message of salvation to the world. Christ offered salvation to all nations, and his disciples began the missionary movement to take the gospel to all nations (known as the Great Commission). “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).

We are to go, whether it is next door or to another country, and make disciples. This is not asked of us but commanded of us, of all who call Jesus “Lord.” Do you support your local missions? Do you pray regularly for our missionaries? Do you have talent or other resources to help spread the message of Christ? God wants us all to be involved. How can you help?

Our church offers a discipleship class called Discipleship 301: Real Life Discipleship. It is a 12-week class that equips Christ-followers to make disciples. I strongly encourage everyone to take this class and become the disciple-maker God wants you to be.
