Judges 20:1–17

For the second time the Levite priest uses his concubine (mistress) for a selfish act. The first time, in chapter 19, he used her as a substitute to save himself from a depraved mob that raped and abused her. In return and in his rage, he kills her and sends pieces of her body to the tribes to awaken them to their moral depravity. It is ironic that his challenge of them involved a selfish and immoral act as well. Do you have a tendency to return wrongs for wrongs?
