John 6:35-40

Rejection hurts. As early as the days of playing "Red Rover" on the playground, we are acutely aware of the sting of not being chosen. Even in our daily lives, we are constantly hearing, "No." Now think about the opposite. How does it feel to be completely accepted? Perhaps it comes through affection from a loved one. Maybe a promotion is given or you are asked to serve in a leadership role. Maybe it is simply an invitation extended.

Jesus assures us in today's verses that not only will he never reject those who come to him, but he will let them share eternal life with him. We are accepted forever by the King of Kings. That brings a peace unlike any other.
