John 7:10-13

Jesus went to the Feast of the Tabernacles in Judea. He made this trip in secret. Those who believed he was a good man would not publicly speak up for him for fear of being harmed or excommunicated from the synagogue. Have we ever kept quiet about Jesus for fear of being excluded from a group or function?

Matthew 10:32-33 says, “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.” We are to profess Jesus publicly! If we remain silent, we deny him. But we are also to live a life that professes Jesus. If others can’t see by our lifestyle that we are believers, then we are denying Christ. Are we living Christ-centered lives? Do our neighbors, co-workers, friends, or even just acquaintances see Jesus in us? Do we profess or deny Jesus?
