Exodus 14: Miracle at the Red Sea
As we read this passage, it is easy to see the Israelites wanted everything to be settled, handed to them with no conflict, no restrictions. But faith is not like that, is it? Or then it would not be faith. God was going to provide the miracle at the Red Sea and rescue them from their life of slavery, but they were going to have to exercise trust and faith in Him. How many of us are this way? We pray and ask God to move in situations or to provide, but we do not want to have to exercise any faith or work to receive anything. What are you praying for now? Is God making clear to you that you must trust Him for the answer or provision? Re-read verse 14:15. Maybe God has shown you what to do and is waiting on you to act in faith.
