January 9 – Ezra 6:19-22

Centuries after the first Passover, the nation was still called to remember. When Ezra led in the rebuilding of the Temple in 516BC, the people prepared and celebrated the Passover. Many of them had failed or had been unable to participate due to their exile. Many had simply ignored this command given by Moses to honor and worship God. Perhaps it had become nothing more than a ritual to many. How can we relate this to how we come to the Lord’s table to remember his love and sacrifice?
