Jonah 4:3-4

Whatever the case, Jonah was beside himself. Consider this: Of all the prophets, Jonah had success that surpassed them all. 120,000 people turned to God (4:11). A pagan king led his people to do right. And Jonah considered himself a failure.

If God would not destroy the 120,000 inhabitants of Nineveh, then Jonah wanted God to kill him. Jonah suffered from an acute case of bigotry and hate.
