“Love is Patient”

Help me Be Still - Psalm 46

Right now, as you are reading this writing, are you finding yourself feeling the need to hurry through this and move on to something else? Is your mind distracted and are your thoughts running different directions? Being still is often contrary to what we want to do. However, the psalmist knew the importance and benefit of this in developing our relationship with the Almighty. To be still and make yourself practice discipline takes patience. Take some time and read this passage again, allowing God to reveal himself to you as you listen for him. Offer to him a patient, disciplined love and focus just as he has given to you.
