“Love is Patient”
Oswald Chambers wrote: "Patience is not indifference; patience conveys the idea of an immensely strong rock withstanding all onslaughts ... Patience is more than endurance. A saint's life is in the hands of God like a bow and arrow in the hands of an archer. God is aiming at something the saint cannot see, and he stretches and strains, and every now and again the saint says, 'I cannot stand anymore.' God does not heed, he goes on stretching till his purpose is in sight, then he lets fly. Trust yourself in God's hands. For what have you need of patience just now? Maintain your relationship to Jesus Christ by the patience of faith."
He is patient with You! - 2 Peter 3:8-15
True, genuine love “is patient,” and we know this is no more evident than in the way God has expressed his love toward us. Aren't you thankful he is patient with you? Our Heavenly Father is not nearly as concerned and rushed with time as we are. Whether a day or a thousand years, his time clock is different than ours, but he is never late. This passage reminds us our very salvation has come to us because of his steadfast patience with us. Praise him and thank him for being patient with you. Ask him to help you love others with a patient love just as he has given you.
