John 13:21-29      Introducing John

John was the younger brother of James and was in the inner circle along with James and Peter. However, John was usually in the background. We know John as the disciple of love but he was just as brash, aggressive, and zealous as his brother, James. Love was something he learned from Christ rather than something that came naturally to him. As we watch John move from being a young man to an old man, we see his greatest weaknesses become his greatest strengths under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. John played a huge role in the spread of the gospel as he outlived the other disciples. He is the writer of the Gospel of John; 1, 2, 3 John; and the Revelation.
