Isaiah 40:21-31

It’s Hump Day: the middle of the week. Are you exhausted yet? Young or old, we all feel weak, exhausted, and overwhelmed at times. Even as Christians who strive to rely on God, we find ourselves running out of steam. This is not hidden from God. He is keenly aware of your specific circumstance, right down to every thought and emotion you have. Find time today—now or during your lunch break or perhaps an evening stroll—to go outside. Experience nature; it is God’s creation. Drink in the beauty. Marvel at his handiwork. Try to fathom the Creator of the universe. He has a hand in everything, from nature to the world’s leaders to the personal details of your own life. Exalt him for all he does. Look for ways he is making all things new, in nature, in the world, and in your life. Praise him for his restorative work.

Read again 40:28-31. Claim them as truth in your life. “The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Thank God for these encouraging words.
