Stage Four: The Spiritual Parent

Acts 9:19b-22

What is good news to you? Think about your posts on Facebook or the pictures you share with others. Is it normally something good?

When you were born, your parents shared the good news of your birth with others!

Saul met Jesus one-on-one. That was good news. The word “gospel” means “good news.” The Bible says Saul immediately began to proclaim Jesus. When Jesus comes in, change happens instantaneously and for many adults, often dramatically.

Because Saul was a devout Jew, he had a deep knowledge of the Old Testament. He used this knowledge to become an immediate witness for Jesus.

We do not have to be fully mature Christians before we share with others what Jesus has done in our lives. Jesus wants to use us immediately to spread his good news. Sharing what we know about Jesus with our world is a step to becoming a “spiritual parent.”
