Summer brings many opportunities for us. These opportunities include mission trips, Vacation Bible School, Children’s Camp, and Student Camp. Oh, I almost forgot—Children’s Worship Camp and weekly outings for our youngest. As you can see, we commit significant resources to make these experiences the best they can be. Which means: take that vacation break, enjoy these weeks of summer, and be faithful in your giving. Your church needs you each and every week, but especially during these busy, productive weeks of summer.
It’s no secret, but it’s not the most obvious gathering in our church. For 23 years, a group of men has been meeting on Tuesday mornings for the sole purpose of moving through the Bible verse-by-verse. Our plan is simple. We alternate an Old Testament book and a New Testament book. We are currently in the Old Testament book of Judges. We don’t check roll—you don’t have to join. Just show up with a Bible in hand. I make the coffee. If you don’t like mine, then the understanding is you bring your own. We begin at 6:30am and walk out to meet the day at 7:15am. If I am in mid-sentence at 7:15am, we shut the book and leave. ;)
See you Sunday,
