Week 2 – The Open Door - Time
But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands.
Today is the second Sunday of Advent. This week we will be opening the advent door called “time.” We will consider how our “times” (lives) are in God’s hand, as well as considering how to give God our “time.”
At just the right time, God sent his son Jesus into our world. In Luke’s version of the Christmas story, it is written, “While they were there (in Bethlehem), the time came for the baby to be born” (Luke 2:6).
God knows our needs. He knows our times. And he acts at just the right time.
This week, prayerfully consider how your times and your time are in God’s hands.
Pray that God will speak to you today in times of worship and Bible study. Ask God to show you how to give some of your time to him and to his people this week.
Also, pray for our Worship Leadership and Adult Choir this week as they are in final preparations for Sounds of Christmas, which takes place this upcoming Saturday and Sunday, December 11 & 12. Invite someone to join you for this special time of worship.
