After months of travel, worn and weary, the Wise Men stopped. The star came to rest over a humble home. Was there a mistake? They carried priceless treasures to bestow upon a king. Where was the king’s palace?
The door opened a crack. A young woman, not more than a girl, peered through the doorway. Her eyes questioned, “Can I help you?” Should she allow them entrance on her threshold? Should she allow them entrance into her home? Her heart knew the answer: “Choose to let them enter.”
The door opened completely and the young woman beckoned them into her home, the home of a king. Yes, the miraculous star directed them to this place. The universe created space for this moment—the birth of the King!
Pray for the CCA Food Pantry. One of the main objectives at Christian Community Action is to always preserve the dignity of the Angels and their families. Their experience at the CCA Food Pantry is integral to that mission. CCA’s Food Pantry is a fully-stocked, self-selection grocery store that serves more than 500 local families every week with more than 27,400 family visits annually. Angels are given vouchers which they use just like a debit card in a grocery store.
When more than 40% of their food needs are provided by CCA, our Angels are able to reserve their household income for other essentials such as rent, utilities, childcare, and healthcare.
