Finishing Well

2012 is coming to a close and it is almost time to begin a new year. Before we jump ahead to making New Year’s resolutions and making plans for tomorrow, let’s take time to evaluate 2012 and our personal relationship with Christ today. For the closing days of the year, we will look at the closing remarks from several of Paul’s letters to believers. May God equip and encourage you to finish well in 2012. There is no better way to start well than to first, finish strong.

December 29—2 Thessalonians 3:6-18

Evaluate the relationships in your life that have the most influence. Who do you spend most of your time with? Who do you trust the most? Paul warns the Thessalonians that spending significant time with those who are undisciplined or who make poor choices is certain to rub off. Who is seeking to live like Christ around you? Who is not? How are you influencing others around you?
