Psalm 119:148
You Gotta Get Up

Rich Mullins wrote a delightful Christmas song: You Gotta Get Up. Do you remember a Christmas like this?

The psalmist said, “My eyes anticipate the night watches that I may meditate on your word,” (119:148). Literally, this means the psalmist stayed up all night, waiting on and desiring the presence of God.

Christmas Eve is all about anticipating the next day. Live this day before Christmas in anticipation. Take care of the last minute details. Go to a Christmas Eve service. Then go to sleep, if you can, and get ready to celebrate the birth of the King.
