1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Silent Night

Today is Christmas Eve Eve. That’s what we called December 23 when I was growing up. We anticipated “the day before the day before” Christmas. We longed for THE day to arrive. That’s how it should be.

The familiar carol Silent Night covers it all—from the manger to the glory of Heaven. He is “Jesus, Lord at thy birth.”

One day the sky will break open and the trumpet will sound and we will see Jesus in his glory and majesty (4:16). On this “day before the day before,” focus on this final and complete appearance of Jesus.
