Shepherds and Angels - Luke 2:8-14

If there ever was a “thin place” in the Christmas Story, it had to begin with the scene around the stable in Bethlehem. Before the birth of our Savior, angels announced the good news to shepherds. These sheep-watchers were in the midst of their tranquil and boring routine when heaven came down and the glory of God filled their eyes and ears with wonder.

God is still in the business of piercing the line between heaven and earth with the words and deeds of people who love him.
