Psalm 71:23, Romans 15:13, Galatians 5:22-23
Deck the Halls

Deck the halls with bells and holly,
Tis the season to be jolly,
Don we now our bright apparel,
Troll the ancient Yuletide carol,

At times, just getting ready for the Christmas season can be a hectic, flurry of events. There is a lot of time spent preparing homes, businesses, and ourselves to reflect on the season. However, in the midst of all the preparation we put into our outward public appearance, we often forget to check the pulse of our own hearts.

Preparing means not only remembering why and what we celebrate at Christmas, but also being “filled with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope,” Romans 15:13. Don’t forget to prepare your heart. Be filled with joy and hope because Christ came, Christ died, Christ rose, and Christ is coming again!

Take a moment to write down ways you can “put on Christ” and be “filled with joy and peace” during this Christmas season.
