The expression of worship, “Glory to God,” is what God desires from all of his creation and from every individual. When we respond to the good news of Jesus and respond in humility and obedience, our lives become a living witness to the glory of God.
Do we deserve his forgiveness or his love? Obviously not. But his love and grace looked beyond what we deserved and, instead, to our need.
And so, Glory to God, he sent his only son, Jesus, to be born in a manger, to die on a cross to pay for our sin, to offer us a relationship with him. It is our choice whether to respond and receive his gift of love and forgiveness. Christ is God’s gift of love to the world.
Let us celebrate this Lord’s day by singing and saying, “Joy to the World, the Lord is come!”
