Could VBS be more?

Dear Church Family,

I’m writing to you on Monday of Vacation Bible School. As I sit in my quiet office, we anticipate the sound of hundreds of kids, students, and workers coming through the door in just a matter of minutes.

We have prayed, planned for, and prepared for an AMAZING week of diving deep into God’s Word in Bible study, fun, and excitement. Vacation Bible School is the stuff of which childhood memories are made!

But is it more? Could it be? I’ve served Baptist churches for all of my adult life. I have always hoped to serve a church that understood what happens AFTER VBS is most important. As we take time to go the extra mile of developing relationships with the unchurched families whose children attend VBS, we continue to spread the truth of the gospel in a more effective, eternal way.

With this in mind, I need your help. Our ministry is preparing bags of cookies and materials to be delivered to unchurched families who attend VBS.  We need help to deliver these bags on Sunday, June 26. If you are willing, these bags will be in the Worship Center foyer as you exit. Simply take the bag to the addressed card on the outside of the bag and let these families know how glad we are they chose to come to VBS. It will only take a few minutes of your time. And it could be the difference in the gospel being spread to a family.

Thank you in advance for your partnership! It’s a JOY to serve the Lord with you at First Baptist Church Lewisville!

Julie Hammer, Children's Minister
