November Parenting Class
Dare to Discipline
Help for parents of children and teens is on the way in this practical study that address: boundaries, motivating without anger, actions and consequences, and respect and being worthy of it.
This class, led by Jennifer Mattingly, will equip parents in a small group setting with practical skills so they can competently raise their strong-willed child. This class meets for four Sundays, November 1 through November 29 (no meeting November 22) at 5:30pm
in the Fellowship Center Overflow. Workbooks are available for $5 each. No registration is required. Childcare is provided for age 3 and under by reservation only - please email Susan McClelland
New Christian Class
In order to help your child begin his or her spiritual journey in the strongest way possible, we have designed a New Christians Class with your child in mind. Classes will take place Sunday mornings October 4, 11, 18, and 25 will be held in Room 235 during the 11:00 Bible Study hour. During this class, your child will learn the basics of baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and what it means to be a part of the church. Please be sure your child checks in to their Bible Study class first and then goes directly to Room 235.
Additionally, we are offering something new for parents. On Sunday, September 27, (please note this date change) during the 11am Bible Study hour, please join us for a class we’re calling Next Steps. This class is especially designed to give parents whose children have recently trusted Christ practical helps to foster their child’s spiritual growth. Don’t miss out on this time of teaching and healthy discussion with other parents. Next Steps will meet in Room 235.
