Acts 17:10-12    A Daily App

Simply listening to a sermon or Bible Study lesson on Sundays does not equal true Bible study. According to 17:11, Bible study should be a daily discipline. Fortunately, in today’s tech-savvy world, there are dozens of Bible study apps that can come to our aid that are just a click away.

Paul warns us in 2 Timothy 4:1-4, that a time would come when people “will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.” The time of which Paul is speaking has come and our weapon of choice should be the same weapon Jesus used to rebuff and obliterate Satan’s advances in Matthew 4:1-11: God’s Holy Word.

After teaching Bible Study to students for over 20 years, 17:11 is my favorite verse in all the Bible because I know if students will grasp the importance to true Bible study, they will be set for life.
