14 Days of the Old Testament in the New Testament

Matthew 15:11
It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.

August 20 – Matthew 27:45-54
Jesus cried out the words of Psalm 22:1 from the cross: “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” In its original Old Testament setting, David prayed these words during a time of grief, stress, and tragedy in his life. Christians latch onto these words because Jesus applied them to himself. In paying for the sins of the world, he felt separation from the Father. Jesus, the only righteous sufferer to ever live, paid the price for our sins.

Psalm 22 is the most often quoted psalm in the New Testament.
