Galatians 5:19-26

As Christians, our lives should look extremely different from nonbelievers. We must turn our backs on the behaviors listed in 5:19-21 and strive to bear the fruit of the Spirit listed in 5:22-23. In Luke 9:23, Jesus commanded, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me.” Please do not gloss over the word "daily" here. Even though our salvation can never be taken away from us, being a productive follower of Jesus requires discipline. How would you respond if a new Christian asked you, “How does someone ‘deny himself and take up his cross daily’ to follow Jesus?” Do you have a process in place that helps you do this every day?
