I Commit to His Followers
Deuteronomy 6:4-9
As You Go

Have you ever had a great, spontaneous conversation with someone while in the midst of traveling with them or walking with them? In this great Deuteronomy 6 passage, we see a beautifully drawn picture of what it means to talk about the Lord “as you go.” We have been instructed to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, and might. Our obedience to him is not only to be lived out on Sundays during a worship service or in a Bible Study class, but rather to go with us always.

In our fellowship with other believers, we are instructed to talk about the Lord when we’re sitting, standing, walking, traveling, working, and playing. Why are we often times afraid to talk about the Lord even with our closest of friends? Could it be there are some amazing moments of fellowship that are just on the other side of our spiritual awkwardness?
