Giving Guidance2 Timothy 4:1-8

In this passage, we see a beautiful conversation between Paul and Timothy. Although Paul is in jail, he still continued to mentor young Timothy. Timothy greatly benefited from Paul’s assertive, honest talk. There are many times around the table when our friends, children, and others need a mentor. I can remember as a young child times when conversations with parents and grandparents helped to shape me and make me into the person I am. Is there someone in your life you are able to mentor and encourage? Why not consider inviting them to lunch or dinner during this new week? Take some time with them, just as Paul did with Timothy. Your honest, mentoring conversation can help shape them into a stronger, more mature vessel for our Lord.
