Devoted to Each OtherActs 2:42-47

There is something to be said about eating together. We have business luncheons, Bible Study class luncheons, holiday dinners, family reunion meals, and celebration banquets. We love to gather around the table and eat with people! The same is true of the early church. In this passage, we find the believers breaking bread and taking their meals together daily. Because of their devotion to one another, many people were being saved! Sometimes, we miss out on opportunities to lead someone to a saving relationship with Christ because we don’t take time to “do life” with them, talk with them, eat with them, and share with them. When was the last time you invited someone to eat with you so you could share the love of Christ with them? Challenge yourself over these next few weeks to invite someone to lunch or dinner, sharing your life with them, and being Christ to them. Good food, good fellowship, good times!
