John 4:1-42

What’s Your Story?

1 Peter 3:15 delivers the command that we should always be “prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” in Christ.

For the past month, members of our church family have shared their stories with us. Some shared how they accepted Christ into their hearts, while others shared how Christ made a difference in their lives while they were going through difficult circumstances.

Now it’s your turn. We challenge you to share your story.

This coming week, prepare your story—the story of how Jesus has made a difference in your life. Then, ask God to give you someone to share it with: A friend, neighbor, co-worker, or complete stranger. Yes, if you’ve never done it before, you will be nervous and it might feel a little awkward at first, but as the cliché says, “Rip off the band-aid!”

You don’t have to have Scripture memorized, and you don’t need to know all the answers. Take a cue from the woman at the well: Just go and tell those around you what Jesus has done for you, and let the Holy Spirit do the rest. Just do it!
