The Station of the Via Dolorosa (the path Jesus walked to the cross)

Luke 23:27-31

The passage today carries us down the road of suffering known as the Via Dolorosa. This path is known as the “Way of Grief” or “Way of Suffering” and measures 600 meters, about the length of 6 ½ football fields. What do you imagine Jesus thought about as he walked that distance to the cross? On this Maundy Thursday, as we remember his suffering for us, spend time reading this passage again, slowly. Place yourself there with that crowd on the Via Dolorosa. Pray intentionally, thanking him for each step he took for you.
