Luke 24:13-27

Notice these men were not saying that Jesus was the Messiah; they only called Him a “prophet.” They were only focused on the immediate: His death. They forgot what they had been taught from God’s Word about the Messiah’s resurrection. When you have periods of doubt that Jesus is who He says He is or about your faith, where do you turn for help in overcoming your unbelief? These men turned to each other for direction rather than turning to God. They had forgotten what God’s Word said and what they had been taught. Then Jesus broke bread with them and they believed.

When you have times of doubt and discouragement in your faith, do not forget where to turn.  Seek Jesus through prayer, conversation with Him, and His Word.  We also have the church body and our ministers to help us through these times as well.
