Romans 10:5-13

Mason Cary, grade 8

I can’t even remember when I started going to church. I’ve been going to church my whole life. I was 8 years old when I asked Jesus into my heart. At first I wanted to be baptized so I could have the juice and crackers. Later I came to realize God created everything, including us. After I came to know that, I kept asking my parents if I could be a Christian. They kept pushing it off because they wanted me to be ready and fully understand what it means to be a Christian. Then one Sunday after lunch, we sat down and my dad asked me questions. I fully understood. My dad started praying. After he finished, I said to God, “Please forgive me for all of my sins. I believe in you, Jesus, and I want you to live in my heart.” I asked my dad if he could baptize me and he did on February 26, 2012. Even today, I keep growing stronger in my faith with God, and I know I can always turn to Him when I need His help.
